Production Sound Recordist / Mixer
Co-founder of SoundBuds Recording, Sheldon Hachey has been a hard-working and relentless filmmaker since even before he graduated from NSCC's Screen Arts program in 2017. With a keen eye for filmmaking and an astute infatuation with gear/tech, Sheldon has never ceased working in the world of film.
Known for his production management roles on Cinema 902 feature films including Dillon Garland's "The Last Divide", Chelsea Comeau's "Creepy Crawling", and Ron MacDonald's "Shadow in the Mirror", Sheldon has now shifted his career towards production sound, being recognized for his work on Jinos Akhtarkhavari's "The Party", Shelly Thompson's "Duck Duck Goose", and Connor Robins' "Love Letter". He still finds time for passion projects and has just completed his first stop motion film. He continues to involve himself in as many Nova Scotian productions as possible.
Production Sound Assistant / Boom Operator
Co-founder of SoundBuds Recording, Burton Howell is an up-and-coming filmmaker in Halifax. After directing his first short film at Brock University, he graduated after 3 years and returned to Nova Scotia. With a family deeply immersed in the world of film, Burton's unrivaled passion and enthusiasm on set shines through, and he has wasted no time getting involved in the NS film business.
Providing assistance as a PA on numerous FILM 5 projects, Burton's film making career snowballed, and he has quickly established a presence in Halifax. He is currently the dedicated Boom Operator for SoundBuds Recording and plans to continue to create quality content. As a new AFCOOP member and aspiring entrepreneur, Burton Howell is looking to make waves in the world of film.
